Pub/Restaurant - case study:

Village pub The Jolly Waggoners had stuck to its traditional 'chintz' and country cottage look for many years. However, new owners bringing high quality cuisine, wanted to update the tired decor and olde world image in favour of something more modern, fresh and appealing. They wanted a look that opened up the restaurant area, making it light and inviting, as well as creating a bar area that was welcoming for those just wanting to visit the pub for a drink. There was also a small function room which was being used for storage and this was to be incorporated into the main pub finding a way to make those

dining in it feel included

in the ambience and

not in a separate room.

All this on a very limited

budget was a tall order.

Wildest Dreams Design

put together a 'story

board' reflecting and

fulfilling all of their

requirements and just

about within budget.

The scheme was

off-white, with wooden

floor and beech and

brown leather furniture,

with an accent colour

of aubergine. more>>
